Store Assistant

The Role

The Store Assistant will support the Store Officer in managing day-to-day store operations, including material receipt, storage, issuance, inventory management, and documentation. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective coordination with procurement and project teams to ensure smooth store operations.

What we are looking for:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in any discipline (Commerce or related field preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in store operations or material handling
• Experience in manufacturing or the marine industry is an added advantage
• Basic knowledge of inventory management and store procedures
• Proficiency in MS Excel; knowledge of Tally is an added advantage
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records

Responsibilities:

• Assist in receiving, inspecting, and verifying incoming materials against purchase orders and delivery documents
• Maintain accurate records of stock movements, inventory, and material transactions
• Issue materials against approved requisitions and ensure proper documentation of all transactions
• Prepare and maintain Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), material issue slips, and other store records
• Coordinate with procurement, accounts, and project teams to ensure timely material availability and documentation
• Support regular stock verification, inventory audits, and reconciliation activities
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards within the store area
• Assist in procurement follow-ups, stock reporting, and other day-to-day store operations

Job Details:

• Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: ₹15,000 - ₹18,000 per month (based on experience and qualifications)
