Mechanical Engineer (FEA)

The Role

The Mechanical Engineer – Design & Engineering will be responsible for supporting engineering analysis and the design and development of marine vessels and structural components. The role involves finite element analysis, CAD design, technical documentation, material verification, and coordination with production teams. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical engineering fundamentals and hands-on experience with FEA and CAD tools, with an interest in marine applications.

What we are looking for:

• B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 2 years of experience in design and engineering roles
• Experience with FEA software such as SACS and ANSYS is preferred
• Strong interest in CAD design, production processes, and marine applications
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Rhino is an advantage
• Basic programming knowledge in Python, MATLAB, or similar tools is an advantage
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities
• Ability to take initiative, follow instructions, and contribute ideas

Responsibilities:

• Assist in FEA of marine and structural components using SACS and ANSYS, including model preparation, load application, result review, and basic verification of stresses and deflections
• Review and correct CAD drawings prepared by the draughting team to ensure accuracy and compliance with design standards
• Support material requirement verification against technical specifications
• Coordinate with production teams for site feasibility assessments and provide design inputs
• Assist in briefing production teams on finalized drawings and technical requirements
• Distribute and maintain finalized engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Support uploading of required design documents to the IRS website for regulatory compliance
• Participate in on-site surveys and assist in collecting measurements and design-related feedback
• Research machinery specifications and their suitability for marine applications
• Maintain records of design revisions, feasibility feedback, FEA-related documentation, and compliance records
• Coordinate with draughtsmen, engineers, and production teams to ensure smooth project execution

Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹35,000 per month (based on experience and qualifications)
