Navalt Delivers ‘LIMO’ to Mr. Joy Alukkas for Operations at Isle of Joy

Navalt has officially delivered LIMO, a premium solar-electric cruise vessel, to Mr. Joy Alukkas, Chairman of the Joyalukkas Group, marking another milestone in sustainable luxury mobility on water.

The vessel was launched during a special handover and launch event attended by guests and stakeholders, celebrating the beginning of a new chapter in premium electric cruising at Isle of Joy — the private island destination associated with Mr. Joy Alukkas.

Designed and built by Navalt for luxury personal cruising, LIMO combines elegant design, silent electric propulsion, and advanced marine technology to create a refined and environmentally conscious experience on water.

A Premium Solar-Electric Cruising Experience

LIMO is a 15-passenger solar-electric cruise vessel engineered to deliver smooth, quiet, and emission-free mobility without compromising on comfort or luxury.

The vessel is powered by twin 10kW MAKO S1 duty-rated propulsion pod motors, offering efficient electric propulsion and seamless maneuverability. Energy is supplied through three 20kWh RAY marine-grade LFP battery systems that support both propulsion and auxiliary loads onboard.

Complementing the onboard energy system is a 3kW rooftop solar array integrated into the vessel, helping maximize operational efficiency while reinforcing Navalt’s commitment to sustainable marine mobility.

The vessel also features the ORCA electric steering system, providing smooth and responsive handling for a more comfortable cruising experience.

Luxury Designed for the Water

Built with a strong focus on comfort and onboard experience, LIMO has been designed to deliver a premium cruising atmosphere suitable for private leisure operations.

The vessel features:

  • Luxurious couch-style seating

  • Spacious cabin interiors

  • Panoramic windows with expansive water views

  • Ambient lighting

  • Washroom facilities

  • Pantry storage

  • Fully electric auxiliary systems including air conditioning

One of the defining aspects of LIMO is its silent operation. Unlike conventional diesel-powered boats, the solar-electric propulsion system significantly reduces vibration, engine noise, and emissions, allowing passengers to experience a calm and uninterrupted connection with the surrounding waters.

Sustainable Mobility Meets Luxury Hospitality

The deployment of LIMO at Isle of Joy reflects a growing shift toward sustainable luxury experiences in the hospitality and tourism sector.

As private island destinations and premium waterfront properties continue to evolve, electric marine mobility is becoming an important part of delivering cleaner and more refined guest experiences. By integrating solar-electric technology into luxury water transport, LIMO represents a future where sustainability and comfort coexist seamlessly.

For guests visiting Isle of Joy, the vessel offers more than transportation — it becomes part of the destination experience itself.

Isle of Joy is a private island destination designed to host premium leisure experiences, private gatherings, celebrations, and curated waterfront events. The destination offers visitors an exclusive island atmosphere combined with scenic backwater surroundings, making it suitable for family getaways, private functions, corporate events, and luxury hospitality experiences.

With LIMO now operational at the island, guests can experience a seamless and elegant arrival on water, adding a unique dimension to the overall hospitality experience. The integration of silent solar-electric mobility further complements the island’s premium and environmentally conscious atmosphere, creating a quieter, cleaner, and more refined journey for visitors.

A Milestone for Navalt

The delivery and launch of LIMO further strengthens Navalt’s position in the growing electric marine mobility sector. From public ferries and commercial vessels to private cruise applications, Navalt continues to expand the possibilities of clean and intelligent transportation on water.

By combining marine engineering, electric propulsion, energy management systems, and premium vessel design, Navalt is helping shape the future of sustainable waterways across India and beyond.

The successful deployment of LIMO at Isle of Joy stands as another example of how electric vessels can deliver not only environmental benefits, but also elevated user experiences tailored for modern luxury hospitality.
