Narwar, a small town located in the Shivpuri district of Madhya Pradesh, is surrounded by lush greenery and abundant wildlife due to its proximity to the Madhav and Kuno National Parks. Tourists can embark on jungle safaris to witness the majestic Royal Bengal Tiger, various species of deer, and diverse birdlife. Beyond the safari, the area is also a must-visit for trekking adventures through the dense green forests. Adding to its natural beauty is the Madikheda Reservoir, and that’s where our story begins.
The Narwar Luxury Resort, located near the Madikheda Dam, has ambitious plans to introduce boating in the reservoir. However, their goal wasn’t to launch a diesel or petrol boat, but something environmentally friendly and luxurious. Thus, they introduced Avalon, built by Navalt, an elegant 15-seater semi-luxury solar electric boat designed for cruise tourism.
The interiors of the Avalon are designed to make passengers feel as if they are relaxing in a cozy room, with comfortable couch seating. Guests visiting the resort can enjoy a ride in the Avalon, where they experience the serene surroundings of the Madikheda Dam. The ride offers clean air, a noise-free, and odour-free atmosphere, making it a one-of-a-kind experience. This is all thanks to the Avalon’s completely green electric propulsion system. The boat is powered by two marine-grade Ray LFP battery packs, which drive two 6 kW electric outboard motors, allowing the boat to cruise at a speed of 6 knots. On a single charge, it can comfortably operate for up to 45 kilometres, with additional support from 3 kW solar panels on the roof to enhance the range. The Avalon also features the ORCA electric steering system, which offers improved manoeuvrability and maintenance-free operation compared to traditional hydraulic steering systems.
The Narwar Luxury Resort is the perfect destination for a vacation. A stay at the resort with family or friends, combined with a boat ride on the reservoir and jungle safaris, promises to create truly unforgettable memories.
