The Role:

We are looking for a Senior Power Electronics Engineer to design and optimize motor control drives for electric marine propulsion systems. This role involves managing the complete design lifecycle, ensuring high efficiency, reliability, and compliance with marine standards.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Electronics

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in motor control drive design

  • Strong expertise in high-voltage and high-power systems

  • Proficiency in power electronics simulation tools

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced R&D environment

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-power motor control drives

  • Select and integrate power components such as IGBTs, MOSFETs, and gate drivers

  • Oversee PCB layout for efficient and reliable power stages

  • Collaborate with embedded teams to optimize control algorithms

  • Conduct testing and validation of power electronics systems

  • Ensure compliance with safety and performance standards

  • Improve system efficiency, thermal management, and reliability

  • Work with cross-functional teams to meet system performance goals

Required Skills & Expertise:

  • Expertise in power topology and switching devices (IGBT, SiC, GaN)

  • Strong knowledge of thermal management techniques

  • Experience in high-performance motor controller design

  • Understanding of EMI/EMC compliance

  • Hands-on experience with testing and validation processes
