Senior Embedded Engineer – BMS
The Role:
We are looking for a Senior Embedded Engineer – BMS to be a core part of our R&D team, responsible for developing high-voltage Battery Management Systems (BMS) for marine electric solutions.
This role involves designing hardware and firmware, ensuring system safety, performance, and reliability across the complete lifecycle.
What we are looking for:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in BMS or embedded systems development
Strong understanding of microcontroller architectures (ARM Cortex, PIC, DSPs)
Experience with communication protocols like CAN, SPI, and I2C
Knowledge of battery systems and cell chemistry (Li-ion, LiFePO4)
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities:
Design and develop hardware and firmware for microcontroller-based BMS
Implement and optimize algorithms like SoC, SoH, cell balancing, and thermal management
Interface with sensors for voltage, current, and temperature monitoring
Develop and execute testing and validation procedures
Ensure compliance with safety and performance standards
Maintain design documentation, version control, and release processes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system integration
Required Skills & Expertise:
Experience with CAN protocol and automotive/marine communication standards
Knowledge of battery monitoring ICs (Texas Instruments, Analog Devices)
Proficiency with debugging tools like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in fast-paced environments
