Solar-Electric Boats

NavAlt supplies ferries which run on electric motors, Lithium-ion battery pack, and powered by the solar energy. Our solar-electric boats are more efficient and cheaper than conventional diesel-powered ferries, without compromising on the performance.

Benefits of a solar-electric boat

Powered by sun

The photovoltaic modules on the roof of the boat will be sufficient to charge the batteries for 6-hour operation everyday. During the cloudy days, the boat service will still be operational with secondary charging available at the dock.

Long-term profitability

With negligible operational cost due to absence of fuel, India’s first solar boat’s breakeven period is as low as five years.

Zero emissions

With our resolve to provide diesel-free water transportation, we have succeeded in building a boat which cares for mother Nature. Negligible noise pollution is another benefit.

Cutting-edge
battery technology

Our boats is powered by 9.6kWh Solar sealed battery system, the best of the kind.

Highly-efficient
marine design

With some of the best naval architects in the NavAlt team, we have designed the boat to have lower drag and weight than conventional counterparts.

Advanced
manufacturing practices

With a distributed manufacturing model, we are ready to deliver our solutions anywhere in the world.

Our manufacturing approach

NavAlt follows a ‘distributed manufacturing’ model to manufacture solar-electric boats and boats. To speed up the delivery and lower the cost, NavAlt sets up delivery center at the client location, after identifying local partners. We design the boats and boats according to the customised requirements of the client, and our engineers at the delivery centre ensure that the product is delivered on time and quality.
